Earthquake Brace + Bolt

The Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) programs provide grants for a specific "building-code-compliant" seismic retrofit. This type of retrofit strengthens an older house to help prevent it from sliding off the foundation during an earthquake.

Application on line with the state was the more time consuming that I realized. They do answer their hotline, which is good.

4/25/2018: I had a great experience with Greg. He is a very nice and knowledgeable guy. He gave me a very reasonable estimate. Provided me with all the information I needed on how to use the EBB dashboard. And, best of all, he does all the work himself. When I asked him why; he explained at one time he used a crew, but he could never trust other workers to do the job he wanted done. He did all the work himself in about 6 hours.

4/22/2018: If you can get Greg to do your work consider yourself fortunate. He was very responsive to phone and emails. He gave me a great quote and preformed all the work in one day. My house is only 1600 sq. feet so the job was straight forward. The inspector looked at the work and said it was an excellent job. I went under the house myself and could see all the work he did. 1/26/2018: Greg is a very efficient and capable contractor I have ever seen. Many aspects of the foundation works are difficult for average consumers to see. If the contractors wish to cut the corners, they could. Greg, on the other hand, is very meticulous about his work and his job quality is a top notch. Greg is a pleasure to work with.
